Partnership Overview
The Macao Institute of Green and Net‑Zero Technology (MIGNT) builds on Macau University of Science and Technology's experience in green building assessment, campus carbon management and interdisciplinary education. Its partnerships support standards application, applied research, professional training and regional exchange, using campus buildings as real‑world sites that link certification, teaching and technology demonstration.

BEAM Society Limited
BEAM Society launched the Building Environmental Assessment Method (BEAM) in 1996 and BEAM Plus in 2010. It conducts green building assessments and trains green building professionals, independently reviewing building sustainability across planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance.

Co‑organised Macao's first BEAM Plus award ceremony and green building seminar with Macau University of Science and Technology on 30 October 2025
Completed the BEAM Plus Existing Buildings (Global Version) final assessment of Block R

Established in 2009, the Hong Kong Green Building Council Limited is a non‑profit, member‑led organisation promoting sustainable building in Hong Kong. It connects the public, industry and government and develops strategies for a high‑density subtropical urban environment.

Named in the tripartite memorandum establishing a framework with BEAM Society Limited and the relevant unit of Macau University of Science and Technology

Under BEAM Plus Existing Buildings (Global Version) v1.0, it received a Platinum rating with a score of 100. The assessment covered management, integrated design and construction management, sustainable sites, materials and waste, energy use, water use, health and wellbeing, and innovations and additions.
